Senior Pastor

Pastor Ed Ingram is excited to serve here at Sterling Baptist Church. Pastor Ed has been in church ministry since 1991 across the bi-state area, including eleven years as a senior pastor in Springfield, IL. Pastor Ed is married to Denise Ingram as of 2019, and grew up in the area of Bethalto, IL. Pastor Ed enjoys creative preaching that highlights how the story of God's word and the good news of the gospel impacts our current world. Pastor Ed enjoys Cardinal baseball, running, music, and spending time with his family.

Luis Hernandez

Pastor of Iglesia Bautista Sterling

Luis Hernandez has served as the pastor of Iglesia Bautista Sterling since 2018.

Bruce Conley

Minister of Music

Bruce has over 30 years of experience in music ministries. He plays many instruments but his primary instrument is the organ. Bruce was licensed to the ministry in 2005 and will continue to serve the Lord until He either calls him home, or leads him in another direction. Bruce and his wife Mary have two sons who are also involved in ministry and two granddaughters.

Ray Purnell

Director of Adult Ministries

Ray Purnell serves as the Director of Adult Ministries. In this role he oversees Sunday School classes and the Senior Adult Ministries.

Dale Wyant

Chairman of the Deacons

Dale serves Sterling Baptist as Chairman of the Deacons as well as on the church Finance Committee.

Beulah Kaiser

Financial Administrator

Beulah serves Sterling Baptist as the Financial Administrator.

Ginny Goetz

Administrative Assistant

I have resided in Fairview Heights since 1970. I have a son and a daughter as well as a grandson. Widowed in 2005, my daughter lives with me in Fairview Heights and my son and grandson live in Belleville. We have a Cocker and a Pekingese; both 12 years old. My hobbies are gardening and reading.
